Just feels good to be back at the top after a gap of nearly 3 years. The last time we were on top was in October 2004 and that was just after the year of the Invincibles.
It is still early days, but if we can keep this form going for the next dozen matches or so, then I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t be challenging for the top spot in May 2008. The next 4 matches are against Derby, West Ham, Sunderland and Bolton. 10 points out of the available 12 would guarantee a first place before the clash with Liverpool, which falls after the break in October.
