It is nice that the users are asked for permission, but this mechanism is too intrusive. To earn the Rs.300 that you need to have to receive a cheque, you need to receive 1500 SMSes. (There are some ways to reduce the number of SMSes you receive by letting your friends share some of your burden in reading the SMSes. But, you will most probably incur their wrath.)

The business idea also assumes there are unlimited ads to send. Unless they tie up with Adsense or having sponsors flocking around them I don’t see the idea flying. How can they ensure Ad effectiveness??
Also, for US markets it is not going to work because, I am charged for receiving sms too!!
Nevertheless, post another blog if the idea becomes popular, I will write a mobile app to delete the SMS ads automatically before they cell phones are running out of SMSes;)

Office laptop is well capable of handling the memory requirements of Joost. It is my own IBM Thinkpad which is not capable of handling the requirements. Anyway, am thinking of selling that off and buying a new laptop.
